Praise God for His wonderful deeds!

October 5, 2011

Dear friends,

We praise God for His wonderful deeds in and through us. God has been with us through ups and downs. This year, we have evangelized thosands of people and have baptized about 60 people. Still, there are out there in remote places people who have never heard the name of Jesus. Our mission is to reach them with the goodnews of Jesus. Some times, it takes days of walk through mountain roads to reach there. It takes lots of energy, lots of courage to go on a mission trip. Praise God our village pastors & evangelists have given up their personal ambitions for gospel sake. I encourage you to consider supporting them. It just takes $150 USD to support a single evangelist.

We are equipping the young people with the call of God on their lives and sending them into villages & towns to preach the gospel. We will need your prayers for their training. We have been supporting 10 theological students (B.Th.) currently. It just takes $ 100 a month to support a student. After they complete 3 yrs B.Th. course, we send them out to preach the gospel and plant churches. Let's join our hands together...

Thank you for your Prayers!

July 18, 2011

Dear friend,

Many thanks for your prayers. When I was a little boy, I heard a saying, ''Friends in Need are friends Indeed''. You have prayed for us in our difficult times. Thank you. And we will continue to need your prayers & support.

God has been still working in us and through us. He has been leading us to lead many more souls into his kingdom. We baptized over 200 people in 2010. This year, we've already baptized about 50 people in Pokhara alone. Its a sign that God is drawing people to himself. We are thankful God has given us the privilege to be at the frontline of the mission field

We have been persecuted again and again. Hindu fundamentalists and communists have tried to stop our activities. I have personally received threats countless times. We have never tried to convert anyone by force as they have been accusing us. Many a people have complained that we've been brain-washing young people. We've been hit from every direction but have not been destroyed! God has been with us, and we will continue to preach the gospel, educate christians, equip leaders and plant churches where necessary! We're committed to bring...

Obeying Christ !

October 14, 2009

We were on a mission trip from October 04-09, 2009. Four of us visited Kailali with three clear missions in mind.

1. Holding teaching seminars (Oct.05-07):

2. Completing the construction of front block (two small rooms) of the church in Kaillali:

3. Baptizing the new comers:

We started out on 4th day of October and arrived in Kailali at 9:30 pm on the same day- after driving 600 km mountain roads. From the following day, we started building the walls and the roof of the church over there. Our mission team together with the local saints of Kailali worked hard for 3 full days to complete remaining walls and the roof of the church. On 7th of Oct. they had to work untill 9:30 pm (without proper lights), to complete the roof.

We held teaching seminars every evening (Oct.05-07) and taught 10 christian doctrines that every saint ought to know. Response was great ! On the finale day we had some fun of taking quiz on those doctrines. My intention was to equip the saints and the leaders on Christian doctrines so that they will be able to teach others.

On our finale day, before we left Kailali I baptized 7 new...

pray for us please

August 21, 2009

Dear brothers and sisters in Christ, Greetings!

May I request you to uphold our urgent prayer request? Today, I got beaten up by two people (unbelievers). They were forcing me to close the church but I refused. I even insisted that I will continue to run the services at any cost. Since I was unwilling to yield to their demands, they got furious and one of them took out his belt and hit me. I think he hit me about 10 times. And two times, the belt hit me on the head. I have minor injuries. This evening about 6 pm (Nepali time), those guys hanged their lock on the church hall and left. They have warned that they would harm anyone who breaks the lock and opens the church hall. But we are going to open it tomorrow any way. When I got hit, some of the believers were onlookers. They just watched me getting beaten up. But a young leader, Saran was the only one who came to my aid. They have also warned that they will come to my church tomorrow. According to the information I got, three people are coming to hit me. Tomorrow is our...

Signs and wonders happen even today!

April 22, 2009

Dear friends,

God is at work! My heart is filled with inexpressible joy as I write this news.  We have recently had two couples come to our church for prayers, whom God instantly delivered from demon possession. And they were baptized today on 22nd day of April 2009.

A Brahmin couple was brought to our church by one of our saints a few days ago. The husband made a living through witchcraft and fortune-telling. As he was at the peak of his flourishing business, all of a sudden he went insane. His wife spent all she had to treat her husband but to no avail. He was getting worse. Then, one fine day one of our church member talked to him about Jesus and asked him to come to church. But he was reluctant. Our evangelists visited him to share the gospel at our believer’s request. Finally, he agreed to come to church and try Jesus out (If he could deliver him!). He was sitting at the back seat hanging his head down all the time he was in the church. He was totally demon-possessed and was bubbling the names of some Hindu gods and demons/witches etc....

Pray for the political stability in Nepal

March 9, 2009

Dear friends,

Please pray for Nepal. Whole southern belt of Tarai region along the Indian boarder is much agitated. The local tharu people have called for a strike and almost the whole region is closed. No transportations are allowed which means no imports and exports via Indian boarders! It's been about 2 weeks now, the strike continues. Please pray that the Tharu leaders and the government will soon have peace talks to end the strike.

We will need your earnest prayers as Nepal undergoes the hour of difficulty. Many ethnic groups are rising their voices for their rights. We are in the process of building a new constitution of our country and every ethnic group wants a special favour & recognition ! Some Hindu extremists and royalists are demanding that Nepal should be a Hindu kingdom! Please pray that we will have religious freedom.

Will you also kindly pray how God can use you for the expansion of His kingdom in Nepal?

Yours in Christ,

Pastor Surya
